WP-CBR001: a whey protein-based certified reference material to support food safety

What is WP-CBR001?

WP-CBR001 is a novel, whey protein-based Certified Reference Material (CRM) for determining the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) benz[a]anthracene (BaA), benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), benzo[b]fluoranthene (BbF) and chrysene (Chr), and the toxic elements arsenic (As), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and mercury (Hg). This makes it possible to reliably determine the mass fractions of these dangerous contaminants in our food, and establish metrological traceability by relating them to reference values.
